Pecan’s Harvest Drop-Off Day

Brunswick Park will support Pecan’s Harvest Drop-Off Day on Tuesday 20 October 2026.

If you would like to support the foodbank, please put one or two items from the shopping list into the box in the School Office Reception before 20 October. Pecan will come to collect the items from the school.

Your donation can help provide food today and support a stronger, more financially resilient future for people in our community.

Last year, Southwark Foodbank provided food to 6,992 adults and 2,578 children in our local community. Behind these numbers are people experiencing financial hardship, including challenges such as rising household costs, insecure income and unemployment.

This Harvest, Pecan is inviting schools to come together to support both of Pecan’s food services – Southwark Foodbank and Peckham Pantry.

Peckham Pantry supports roughly 1,700 households each year. For £5, households can access more than £15 worth of food, helping household incomes stretch further.

This year, support will particularly help people who rely on our food services more frequently and may be experiencing greater financial hardship. For many people, food insecurity is not an isolated issue. It can be linked to rising household costs, insecure income, unemployment and other barriers that make it difficult to move out of poverty.

That is why its food services are part of Pecan’s wider approach to Financial Resilience and Food Security. Alongside immediate food support, people can connect with its employment, community and other services, helping them build greater independence, stability and resilience for the longer term.
